Some couples know exactly what they want for their wedding flowers. Others have no idea at all. Many who have an idea, change it after their initial consultation with Julie, when they realise just what can be achieved through flowers.
There are so many things to consider when arranging a wedding and Julie’s aim is to make the flowers tie all the other aspects of the wedding together. The flowers should reflect the bride’s personal style and, of course, must enhance her dress!
One of the things which make Julie stand out from other florists is her skill in helping the bride discover her natural preferences when it comes to her wedding flowers. Colours, styles, venue, themes, budget, and seasonal availability, all need to be taken into consideration. Of course they do. However, the most important thing is that the wedding couples get exactly what they want.
Please see our timeline for all wedding bookings below:
At this appointment, I discover how you envision your wedding day. I find out your preference of style and also taking into consideration if it is suitable for your dress and bridesmaids. I guide you through your budget, helping you re-use flowers where we can if required. I will provide you with a quotation there and then. You may book with me then if you wish, but I do require a booking fee of 50% of your bridal flowers quotation. This secures the date with me.
Two weeks before your wedding, I will go through the whole floral package with you - making changes where required if necessary. The final balance is due at this meeting.
The day before your wedding, you are invited to view your flowers prior to them being 'finished' with ribbons and accessories. This is to ensure you are perfectly happy with them and any changes that may be required can be arranged.
On the day, I arrange delivery to all the addresses where you need the flowers to be delivered to and all within good time. As flowers are natural and living, they do need to drink. All my bouquets, if hand-tied style, are delivered in a small amount of water to keep them as fresh as possible. Clear instructions are given for the care of all wedding flowers as you need them to be in perfect condition for your ceremony and photographs.
